Responsibilities will include the following
Works across program team to develop NetDevOps processes to operate networks at scale that provides integration and increased collaboration between operations and engineering teams using continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
Provide hybrid automation design and operation across core data center, cloud, and edge platforms
Utilize SW-defined network (SDN) principles, and refocuses network administration and operations staff around development skills and programming to enhance automation, reduce risk, eliminate repetitive tasks, and involve cybersecurity subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the process as a critical input to CI/CD
Hands-on developer that can master the entire life cycle including research, design, application and deployment architecture, development, and testing continuous deployment and continuous delivery up until production
Evaluates monolithic Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications for potential microservice refactoring for digital transformation into cloud-based solutions
Creation (and continuous maintenance) of software microservices in a cloud-based Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Review of performance and integration issues within the applications within a CI/CD pipelines
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field and 8+ years of relevant experience
Experience with microservice design and integration
In-depth knowledge of both Linux and Windows Environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple contractors, government agencies and other mission planning stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
U.S. Citizenship required
Active DoD Secret Clearance
2+ years of hands-on experience with Java-based applications, using RESTful APIs, SpringBoot, Micro Services, and High Availability principles
Experience with SaaS development, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with an object-oriented programming language (Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C++, or Java)
Experience with DevOps/Atlassian Tool Suite
Hands on experience with a scripting programming language (i.e., PowerShell, JSON, etc…)
Knowledge of Virtual Machine environments, VMWare, Docker containers (Windows and Linux), and the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment philosophy
Experience working in an Agile Development environment (Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus)
