Job Description:
The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is looking for a Solutions Architect (SA) to provide leadership on a mission-critical program supporting multiple components with the Department of Homeland Security and the multiple divisions within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The SA plays a key role in CTO team with primary focus on the assigned discipline. The SA is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert in one or two desired disciplines. The SA will provide the solution strategy, design and development and assist in execution of the designed systems.
The SA will demonstrate his/her extensive knowledge in one of more of the following disciplines:
Scaled Agile programs and Frameworks
Platform development expertise (Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.)
Networking Technologies such as ACI, NSX, and Cloud native.
Primary Responsibilities:
•The SA is responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the pursuit or program.
•Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
•Assists in defining and executing established Leidos technologies
•Provides expertise and guidance for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of IT solutions that enhance overall system performance and availability
•Provide technical knowledge and analysis of high-level functional systems analysis, design, and integration advice on complex matters that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
•Lead major sections of proposals within an RFP.
•Architecting and deploying cloud-native applications onto Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar
•Identifying requirements, researching options, designing and implementing solutions at a leadership level for the application included in the portfolio
•Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in software design and development using containerized and microservices based components. Master's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
•Experience in implementing and overseeing strategy, and deployment, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
•Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions on a large Program
•Demonstrated experience designing and modernizing complex enterprise networks and legacy IT systems, including developing effective COOP/DR solutions
•Excellent communication and written skills
•Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Clearance Requirement:
•Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Demonstrated experience in network and cyber security design, engineering and operations with emphasis on DHS capabilities
•Experience with NIST SP 800 series or ISO 27000 series documents for information security management and risk assessment
•Nationally recognized vendor certification
