Job Description:
The Solutions Engineer (SE) plays a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships while driving the adoption of innovative solutions to achieve mission-based outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in Due Diligence and Site Survey activities across a breadth of technologies and services.
Creates workflow diagrams documenting performance area service value chains & technology mission threads to identify service delivery hand-offs and bottlenecks.
Evaluates architectures and processes for opportunities for meaningful and measurable improvements.
Develops and reviews Technical Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and other deliverables.
Works across organizational lines to provide technical input across contract deliverables.
Supports development of product/service roadmaps.
Present and advocate for the design and value of a proposed solution with business case to customer stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
5+ years hands-on experience designing or implementing solutions.
Familiar with DevSecOps and ITIL processes and technologies.
Understanding of cloud-native design and agile software delivery principles.
Experience presenting technology solutions to small and large audiences.
Analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
Effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
Business case development supporting technology solutions.
Intermediate to advanced technical certifications and hands-on experience across multiple technology domains (e.g. Routing, Servers, Storage, Security, Application development, etc.).
