Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong systems, software, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.
In this hands on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidates must have significant experience designing and developing databases in a DevSecOps environment.
Candidate should have a firm understanding of database operations in a multi-platform environment leveraging Oracle, Java, SQL, and the like.
Extensive experience with AWS Cloud technologies, architecture and integration.
Candidate must be familiar with the software development life-cycle.
Troubleshoot network problems and provide solutions to application connectivity
Manage logs and produce scripts to automate log reporting and analysis
Produce Oracle scripts to help application troubleshooting
Monitor and manage production databases, including assisting in the software release process
Monitor and manage backend data synchronization applications and external data source retrieval, applications.
This role analyzes recurring problems and initiates solutions for preventing reoccurrence.
Basic Qualifications:
Must currently possess an active Top Secret clearance; OR CBP Full Background Investigation to start
Requires BS/BA Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters Degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Minimal 8+ years of experience working with Networks and producing scripts
Experience in System Engineering with Linux and UNIX
Experience contributing to deliverables and meeting performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OCP
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology.
Experience with web application and relational database (SQL Server, Oracle).
Experience with Linux and UNIX
Solid Oracle engineering skills
Experience with AppDynamics and Splunk
Top Secret Clearance
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00#Remote
