The Leidos Army Intelligence information technology Environment Support (ARIES) program, which is part of the Leidos Defense group, is looking for a Systems Administrator to support US Army Central G2. The ARIES G2 Army MI Enterprise provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems as well as network administration support for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide Tier I and Tier II support to customers with hardware, software, and application problem resolution across multiple networks
Technologies will include, but not be limited to collaboration tools (Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), email security, archiving, encryption (PKI), integration of Office 365, Voice, Networking and JWICS VTC
Use SCCM imaging technology to image new and existing workstations on multiple networks
Properly configure, manage and troubleshoot NetApp storage, snapshots and cross-site replication
Diagnose and resolve problems with desktop and server hardware and operating systems (Win10, Window Server, 2012R2 or later), virtual environments (VMware ESXi) 6.5 or later
Record and track issues from onset to conclusion using on-site ticketing system
Maintain/update system and network diagrams, floor plans, etc. in MS Visio and PowerPoint
Maintain required security posture on all systems in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, SOPs, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements
Review and track weekly ACAS scan results; ensure violations are mitigated within acceptable or mandated time-frame
Apply creative problem-solving techniques to identify the source of problems; while at the same time keeping the customer updated via the ticketing system and phone
Schedule and coordinate level-appropriate maintenance for all network and systems equipment to include peripherals and cable management
Provide Service Desk function to customers as needed, including Active Directory tasks, in & out processing users for accounts, account set-up requirements, troubleshooting workstation hardware/software, troubleshooting VOIPs, basic hardware troubleshooting, printer issues, and VTC scheduling and maintenance
Assist Network Administrator with troubleshooting and testing of network connections and installation of network devices and maintain network documentation
Train co-workers on new and enhanced services, hold team members accountable to high work standards, and mentor junior team members
Participate in or lead special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
Basic Qualifications
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Minimum certification requirement: active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, CompTIA Security + or higher
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Must possess strong customer service abilities and impeccable ethics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities related to various projects at once and work well in a collaborative cross-functional environment
Proficient-with maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 10 environments and Windows Server Windows Server 2012 R2 or later
Possess knowledge and troubleshooting skills with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policies, and general SharePoint administration
Adept with NTFS File Permissions and Shared network storage
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Teams/Groups/OneDrive and related services
Knowledge of computer systems, configuration, diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques
Demonstrate sound problem solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility
Ability to identify process improvements within the team and devise solutions.
Experience working with Standard Desktop images, patching, SCCM, Windows Servers and workstations; and demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center
Preferred Qualifications
Computing environment certification, such as: Microsoft Windows 10 MCSA, Microsoft Windows MCSA Server 2012 R2 or later, Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA A+, Network+
JWICS VTC scheduling/troubleshooting experience
US Army client and network experience
VMware 6.5 or later experience
Windows PowerShell
IT Process Management Experience (e.g., ITIL)
Pay Range:
