The Enterprise & Cyber Operations Division at Leidos is seeking an experienced, Agile focused professional to serve as a Cloud Architect of a Cloud Application Migration program. The ideal candidate will be the lead technical position on the program and will be expected to advise and guide the technical staff in current and new technology and solutions and how they can be applied to assess, modernize and migrate ~50 applications to a government managed commercial cloud annually. In support of this program, the technical team will conduct an assessment of each application identified as a migration candidate to include analysis of the application architecture, data, performance, availability, integration, operations, cybersecurity risk assessment, cost and schedule, target CSP environment, and licensing. In addition to direct program support, the candidate will support, as needed, engineering solution and architecture development for new business and re-compete opportunities as they occur.

Responsibilities Include:
Apply experience architecting, developing, and re-engineering applications to leverage benefits of cloud capabilities of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation, and high availability.
Lead the design of cloud solutions and integration of tools and services for all areas of cloud computing including compute, storage, and networking
Ensure designs are compatible with the target cloud environments and allocated requirements
Collaborate with customer and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate into effective cloud patterns; present solution options and drive decisions on the way ahead to meet customer needs
Establish and maintain relationships with Leidos partners, key vendors, and within Leidos to seek, qualify and leverage the best ideas, solutions and models to meet customer needs
Address user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, requirements allocation, and interfaced definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Summarize and communicate technical results
Support the development, documentation, and execution of system policies
Understand all applicable performance standards and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded
Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Active Secret Clearance
Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 15 + years in software development, system engineering or related field or 13 + years of experience with Doctoral degree. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
10+ years technical application architecture experience including architecting, designing, and programming applications to operate in a commercial cloud (e.g., AWS/Azure) environment
Experienced in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a service (SaaS) Cloud Hosting Architecture /Design patterns to meet scalability, capacity, availability, performance, storage, cost and application/platform requirements.
Experience with Cloud technologies including public, private and hybrid cloud solutions
Experience in design, development, and deployment of application software
Experience migrating applications to the Cloud at scale
Experience supporting portfolio assessments for Cloud migrations
Experience with IdAM solutions in the Cloud
Practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems
Experience conducting technical sessions involving customer and other stakeholders
Experience/knowledge of Agile and processes and techniques and SDLC
Experience with DevSecOps practices including IaC, CI/CD pipeline, and automated deployment
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication both verbal and written
Security+ Certification
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Clearance Required:
Requires an active Secret security clearance
