Leidos has a professional career opportunity in our Reston, VA Corporate Global Headquarters (GHQ) for an Senior Lead, Internal Events. This is a new position that reports to the Director, Leidos Internal Events and Conference Center Operations, which is part of the Real Estate & Workplace Solutions organization. The Senior Lead, Internal Events will work across the enterprise to plan and execute business meetings and special events that support the company’s growth, mission, and values -- Integrity, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, Collaboration, Commitment.

Primary Responsibilities

The Conference Services team provides comprehensive logistics management and first-class event execution for the CEO, C-suite executives, leadership team members, the Board of Directors, contracted customers, and employees on the line.  The team plans hundreds of events annually at Leidos GHQ and other key office locations across the United States.  The Senior Lead, Internal Events must be a strong collaborator who is personable and has incredible attention to detail. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from the onset through final post-event closeout. Primary responsibilities for the role
include providing comprehensive, tactical meeting/logistical support and event technology (e.g., Cvent) services for meetings, special events, and conferences as assigned.

Typical Tasks/Duties:
•Web-based (Cvent) event invitations, registration site builds, post event surveys, etc.
•Knowledge of EMS (Event Management System) conference room scheduling software
•Group ground transportation coordination
•Budgeting/cost savings tracking
•Organizing and archiving meeting data/files
•Catering and audio-visual coordination
•Attendee registration management and occasional fee collection/processing
•Onsite staffing and Leidos conference facility management
•Conference materials support
•Invoice payments and reconciliation
•Stakeholder’s management
•Strong customer service mindset and high standards
•Post event support, including tracking ROI via online survey/evaluation and hot-wash meetings
•Supplier procurement and budgeting
•Concierge-level white glove service for CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors events
•Ensuring policies and procedure are followed and compliant with Federal Government regulations
•Travel (up to 25%) when necessary to support key meetings and events
Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5-7 years of experience in meeting/event management or conference planning
•Event technology expertise (e.g., Cvent, EMS, etc.)
•Ability to manage multiple events/logistics simultaneously in a professional, organized fashion
•Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Skills and aptitude to deliver top tier, white glove concierge-level event support
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Articulate, able to run pre-con planning meetings with poise
•Customer service oriented with aptitude for going above and beyond to exceed stakeholder expectations
•Excellent computer/software and analytical skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
•Tech savvy with ability to create/maintain registration websites, surveys, email invitations, etc., using Cvent event solutions software
•Team player with collaborative approach for managing complicated scenarios
•Confident individual, comfortable interacting with all levels of management
•Detail oriented and organized
•Ideal candidate will reside in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area upon start date and be able to work onsite at GHQs in Reston, VA
•Flexibility to work one (1) day a week from home may be an option.

Preferred Qualifications
•Cvent technology expertise; experience with similar event technologies and/or basic html coding
•Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Society of Government Meeting Professionals, or Certified Meetings Manager (CMM) designation a plus
•Active (past or present) related professional association membership(s)
•Bilingual (Spanish)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
