Key Capabilities:

Leidos is looking for a high performing candidate to provide program analysis and technical expertise in support of the nation's nuclear deterrence mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs.  Working with a collaborative team, the Program Analyst assists the Federal manager with programmatic oversight of the Depleted Uranium (DU) Modernization Program and is accountable for maintaining current awareness of issues, risks, and progress toward completion of the activities undertaken by the geographically dispersed national security laboratories, DOE laboratories, and commercial contractors. The Program Analyst coordinates with NNSA program offices, sites and internal and external project team members to provide situational analysis to the Federal program manager on matters pertaining to planning, integrating, and meeting program milestones and schedules that impact the DU Modernization Program interests and mission requirements.

This is a full-time contractor-support position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities

In concert with the Federal Program Manager and other team members, responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and applying program knowledge and capabilities to support and advise DU Modernization Program execution.

  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of programmatic and portfolio analysis tools and methodologies.

  • Identifying, tracking, mitigating, and resolving issues related to achieving program objectives.

  • Coordinating with multiple stakeholders across diverse organizational cultures, priorities, and responsibilities, and participation in inter-organization or working group meetings.

  • Communicating effectively about program status using strategic documents and visualizations, planning reports, white papers, programmatic documents, slides, and oral presentation.

  • Directly support the modernization of technologies and capital acquisitions at NNSA sites

  • Organize, plan, schedule, implement, control, analyze performance on various projects and programs

  • Coordinate with contracts, finance, Project Management, and contractors to Identify, mitigate, and control risks

  • Drive process improvement and innovation

  • Create plans and processes required to meet all performance, schedule, quality, cost, and security requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Active DOE Q and/or DOD TS clearance

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • At least two years’ experience.

  • Familiarity with acquisitions of equipment or large procurements

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with particular emphasis on word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel).

  • Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization and meeting with stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute task plans and deliverable items.

  • Demonstrated successful experience with briefing and interacting with NNSA leadership and managers, and NNSA and DOE sites and national laboratories.

  • Experience with NNSA or DOE Program requirements

  • Project Management experience

  • Technology maturation activities
