The Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group currently has an opening for a Backend SharePoint Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical skills helping the mission at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). In this mission, we provide NGA with a bridge to the future, strengthening critical ISP services to mission users, harnessing the capacity of current and emerging Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE) services, and delivering the Power of GEOINT into the hands of users supporting critical time-sensitive missions. Our team operates and sustains UFS for NGA, provide continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of UFS, implement special orders to rapidly support mission needs without disrupting daily operations and posture NGA to transition to future IC DTE service offerings.
The Backend SharePoint Developer is responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of virtual enterprise workstations and virtual host platforms. This individual will conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, security needs, and user functional requirements. This work will include designing new VDI and desktop solutions, installing new software, troubleshooting, performing VDI and applications migrations, and training users, as needed. They will program in an administrative language, including Powershell and VMWare CLI, as needed. Backend Developers also interact with the engineering management team and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work as a member of a team to develop and support SharePoint based solutions, which address a range of business needs that involve collaboration, workflow, content management, document management, business intelligence, and reporting.
Assess business process and suitability for solution implementation using the Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013 platform
Provide content management strategies for intranet sites on the SharePoint platform
Design solutions based on established patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management
Design and develop solutions for SharePoint that take advantage of standard web technologies, such as CSOM, REST, JavaScript, and OData
Design, develop, customize team sites, libraries, lists, views, and workflows
Provide support and guidance to users on SharePoint features and functionalities Maintain FAQs, Knowledge Base, and Standard Operating Procedures
Attend internal and external customer meetings as required
Provide technical advice to team members and customers on best practices for SharePoint development
Develop and deliver requirements and design documents
Complete tasks with minimal supervision by being motivated, independent and self-sufficient.
Develop unconventional solutions for customer requirements in a collaborative environment as part of a dynamic team.
TS/SCI with Poly is required or a TS/SCI with willingness to obtain a Poly is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience designing and developing complex business applications in SharePoint 2010 and 2013
Strong understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint 2010 and 2013
SharePoint experience must include SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and Nintex workflows, HTML, CSS, JSOM, CSOM, JavaScript, REST, JQuery, Angular JS, CAML, and branding customization
Excellent knowledge programming in .NET, C#, ASP.NET Excellent customer service and communications skills
Analytical skills to discover business problems, identify possible causes, and design quick and effective solutions
Experience using jQuery, Client Object Model, and Service Oriented Architecture.
Experience with SharePoint's application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.
Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring virtual and physical workstation environments using Windows 7 and 10 with Microsoft SCCM
Experience with VMWare virtualization solutions using ESX 5.5 and newer
Experience with enterprise desktop deployments and management, including application package development and enterprise system refreshes
Experience with enterprise Citrix solutions for desktop and application deployments
Knowledge of Windows Desktop, including 7and10 with Server, including 2012, 2012R2, and 2016 operating systems, VMWare virtualization solutions, and Citrix capabilities
Security + CE or equivalent DOD 8570 certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze the SQL data.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Typically requires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with writing and deploying Microsoft PowerShell scripts to support the collection of data from workstations and servers, assist with the deployment of software packages, and perform remediation actions on workstation or server assets
Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including Solarwinds, Splunk, or Microsoft SCOM
Experience with analyzing and enhancing operational procedures and new innovative solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges
Knowledge of ITIL change managements and problem managements best practices
