Job Description:
Leidos has an opening for an Exercise Planner to support a challenging and rewarding program within the Northern Virginia area. This position requires a TS/SCI w/Polygraph security clearance. The Exercise Planner will work with government staff to develop, coordinate and execute all levels of exercise events (seminars, workshops, tabletops, and games, drills, functional and full-scale) and report their findings/results from every exercise executed on behalf of the customer. The Exercise Planner will work with the National Incident Management System and the Incident Command Structure in all-hazard crisis response situations. The Exercise Planner will communicate with government exercise planners, senior managers, and coordinate with partners in verbal and written formats. The Exercise Planner will assist government staff with evaluating exercises and compiling after-action reports. The Exercise Planner will assist with meeting notes, mock exercise injects and products, exercise scripts/play, after action reports and recommendations. The Exercise Planner may be required to brief government officials at planning conferences, and culminate findings in clear succinct reporting that will be actionable to the managers and government planners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years of applicable experience
- Candidates must have strong oral and written communications skills
- Candidates must be proficient using Microsoft Office for the development of exercise deliverables- including PowerPoint
- Previous experience working with Intelligence Community tools and databases is required
- Candidates should have a proven record of accomplishment working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking (i.e. multiple phone calls, monitor cable traffic/e-mails, tasking from various government agencies, etc.)
- Experience with briefing and delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders
- Experience incorporating real-world scenarios and emerging threats into training and exercise events
- Knowledgeable of HSEEP principles is desirable, but not required
- Must have current TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
