General Job Description:
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Specific Job Description:
Supports the development and maintenance of the extract transform and load (ETL) aspects of the data warehouse. Maintains an understanding of the inputs received from the data source providers. Supports the analysis, design, development and implementation of new ETL requirements. Experience with Informatica Tool Administration. Recommends changes to enhance the data warehouse data cleansing and conversion processes. Supports testing and validation of the new data conversion processes. Responsible for supporting planning activities and supporting the on schedule delivery of milestone and deliverables. Candidate must be willing to work on-call rotation approximately once every eight weeks to provide production operations troubleshooting support, as needed.
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Must possess effective oral and written skills and strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Must be a team player able to work in a dynamic environment and have a working knowledge of the SDLC and the associated processes and documentation.
BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Must possess at least 3 years of recent hands-on Informatica development experience and SQL development experience.
All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
