The Mission Support Operation is currently soliciting experienced IT Specialist (Web Developer) with the ability to develop and maintain a business analytics dashboard. The successful candidate will be able to not only collect data and prepare it for use in dashboards and data visualization products, but also will be well versed in statistical analyses in order to explore the data, look for trends, test hypotheses using data modeling, and interpret and present analyses both verbally and via data viz tools in order to make recommendations to the Customer on how to improve operations. The ability to communicate statistical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience will be critical to this role. Successful candidates will be part of an Open Source Exploitation Technology Team supporting an Intelligence Community customer in the National Capital Region (NCR). Work location is customer site in Reston, VA.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary function of this project is to provide for day-to-day copyediting and dissemination of open source products to internal and external readers and the development and maintenance of a business analytics dashboard. The IT Specialist (Web Developer) shall be responsible for developing and maintaining the dashboard. Outputs of the business analytics dashboard will support data-driven decision by the customer and will drive requirements over time, will enable Enterprise-level analytics for tradecraft improvement in core business areas, and provide qualitative metrics for determining progress for a quality assurance (QA) program.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a BS/BA degree and 4+ years of experience related to web technologies or technology-based data collection. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance and ability to work on site at customer location in NOVA
Demonstrated experience in Data Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) skills to aid the customer in identifying, standardizing, and moving various data sources for metrics into contextual and visualization tools.
Demonstrated proficiency in one or more popular web development languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, or PHP.
Demonstrated proficiency with one or more commonly used tools for data visualization such as Tableau, Google Chart, Power BI, or Splunk.
Ability to develop and maintain a business analytics dashboard
Working knowledge of business analytics, to include statistical literacy and quantitative reasoning.
Knowledge of webscraping, current web technologies and concepts including: HTML5, Java, Python, JSON, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, REST, XML
Ability to identify discoverable metadata tagged content
Proficiency in standard digital publishing computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and others, as needed
Familiarity working on visualization dashboards and Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL), in a professional setting.
Proven success working productively with a culturally diverse workforce
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take corrective action
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, maintaining flexibility and versatility
Experience using customer tools including OSN, POW!, and ATOM.
Work will occur during standard hours of operation for editorial production and dissemination support Monday through Friday from 0800 to 2000 local time.
Preferred Qualifications
Current DTO status or ability to obtain training and maintain certification as primary and back-up Data Transfer Officer (DTO)
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00Covid Guidance
