Job Description:

The Enterprise and Cyber Solutions (E&CS) Operation within Leidos’ Defense Group has an opening for an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) Service Delivery Manager for the GIG Service Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract.    This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).    It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate primary responsibility will be:
  • In coordination with the Special Projects Team, and the GMS CA/CE, identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities resulting in increased contract growth, improved customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the planning, requirement definition, development, and implementation of AI solutions in a range of technology areas that includes Predictive Analytics (PA), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • Building the next level of design and implementation plans for the early AI operations innovations in the following areas: AI/ML Diagnostics – Augment the Operator, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Ticket Routing and Predictive Analytics
  • Ability to identify, document, and apply use cases/opportunities for the incorporation of AI/ML technology
  • Ability to create, manage and status Microsoft Project schedules and agile JIRA scrum backlogs for multiple AI/ML projects.
  • Identify and communicate resource requirements to execute AI/ML innovations as they align to the GSM-O II rate structure and proposed baseline.
  • Designing, engineering and coordinating migration of these innovations into the AWS IL5 and IL6 Cloud.
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination to successfully transition and operationalize AI/ML innovations with the operational teams, to include engaging early and often with required stakeholders regarding implementation status updates, sprint demos, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Experience interfacing with Government organizations, preparing briefings  for support, regarding innovations and communications requirementsDevelop and provide briefings to senior leaders, program managers, and internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 12+ years of professional experience; or 10+ years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level I, Security+ CE or CCNA Security.
  • Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified
  • Experience in architecture, design, develop, and delivery of technical solutions within a DoD environment.
  • Industry awareness in AI/ML
  • AWS (cloud) knowledge/expertise
  • Self-starter that has experience in supporting COTS integration and development efforts
  • Experience with various AI /ML tools and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in providing AI/ML architectural support, technical leadership, and the ability to present difficult concepts to customers, and executives.
  • Strong AI/ML technical breadth and depth in support of the DoD and in particular in government network design, implementation, operations, and modernization.
  • Ability to apply AI/ML algorithms and libraries effectively, applying learning procedures to fit the data use cases. 
  • Ability to apply data modeling techniques to find useful patterns (correlations, clusters, etc.) and predicting properties of seen and unseen instances (regression, anomaly detection, etc.) and continuously evaluate the accuracy of a given model
  • Experience with UIPath, IBM NOI and Predicative Insights Tool Suites, Elastic Stack (ELK)
  • Experience with various Element management systems
  • Agile Methods

Pay Range:

Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00
