Job Description:

The Government Health and Safety Solutions Group has an opening for a Mid Level Java Developer to support a large healthcare contract in Baltimore.

The candidate will be responsible for the understanding the requirements, design, development, and unit testing of java technology based applications in an Agile development environment. The java based application architectures include web applications, webservices, batch applications, and database operations. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction. Candidate must be familiar with Agile Software Development methodologies. Candidate must translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Critic code of others by participating in peer reviews.

Development skills on Java EE Technologies, JavaScript, Subversion, SonarQube, Jenkins and Nexus. Requires experience in the following areas: Eclipse, MAVEN, Wildfly (previously known as JBOSS), Apache HTTP and Tomcat, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, Underscore.js, JSP, JSTL, JAVA Servlets, JDBC, SQL, Spring Framework 4.x (including Spring MVC and Spring JDBC), Spring Boot Micro services and API Design, XMLBeans, regular expressions, XML, JAVA 8, and JAVA IO processing. Experience with installation of COTs products and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services.

Apache Axis 1.x, Apache CXF, JAX-WS, WS-Security, JAXB, iText, POI Framework, Spring batch, Web application integration with REST Services, and Web application design. Candidate should be familiar with single sign on technologies. Spring Cloud components for Microservices (Netflix Zuul, Eureka, Config Server, Ribbon client, FEIGN client, etc.).

Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2-4 years of professional experience; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Candidates must have stayed in the USA for the past 3 consecutive years.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00
