Job Description:
The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within Leidos is seeking an Enterprise Reporting Developer with strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) Interface and Support Processes division within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States.
In this hands on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle of a mission critical product including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of software development (designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining products).
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Interface with software developers, analysts, and other project team members using Agile SCRUM methodology and SAFe to deliver features that enhance system capabilities and facilitate CBP’s mission.
Translate customer needs into user stories and deliver working capabilities at the conclusion of each sprint.
Mentor junior and entry-level software developers to enhance their skills and work with others on product team to develop solutions to impediments preventing completion of work.
Participate and/or lead sprint demonstrations and facilitate implementation of agreed upon ideas identified at retrospectives.
Effectively communicate technical challenges and potential solutions to leaders within both Leidos and CBP
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
Minimum of 2-years of software development experience in an Agile/SecDevOps environment with proven ability to deliver on commitments.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Software development experience should include the following technologies: Oracle & SQL
Knowledge of software design patterns.
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
Required Experience in:
7+ years of development experience with Power BI, Visualization tools.
Specialization in at least one of the following: Power BI, Data Modeling and Visualization using Azure Data Services
Strong experience in at least one of the following: Data Modeling, DAX, SQL
Should have strong tabular cubes experience
Strong understanding of BI areas. Ability to work in large, complex development BI projects
Proven expertise in performing data analysis, inferring data trends, communicating to stakeholders
Develop transactional and strategic reports and dashboards.
Support the development of data models, queries, reports, and dashboards from multiple data sources.
Experience with Extraction, Transformation, and Loading of data between systems
Experience working with larger datasets
Preferred Qualifications:
Active CBP BI
Experience as a software developer supporting one or more products within CBP PSPD

Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
