Leidos is hiring a IT Solutions Architect to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir and Reston, Virginia. The Architect, in close partnership with the DTRA IT CTO will develop and implement impactful IT Modernization and Consolidation projects to transform the DTRA IT environment. An active Secret Clearance is required with the ability to get a TS/SCI. Most work (75%) is on-site with limited remote opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works directly with Government/contractor counterparts to develop, coordinate and maintain executable strategic plans based on identified organizational, cultural, and technical priorities.
Researches new, leading technologies for pilots, proofs of concept, and implementation within DTRA
Directs technical personnel and contractor Project Managers regarding the architecture and design of solutions to meet requirements, improve service, reduce costs, and increase automation.
Drives implementation teams and provides technical guidance and implementation priorities related to modernization projects.
Provides technical expertise to develop implementation plans for a wide range of IT Technology initiatives to include:
Legacy on-premises software architectures and Cloud Migrations / Cloud-Native Service architectures.
Enterprise data management solutions to enhance customer operations and move services to native cloud capabilities.
Standardization and consolidation of IT Services for increased efficiency and value.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 12+ years of prior relevant experience; or a master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
Current IAT Level II, or higher certification with a Security +, or CISSP certification, or ability to gain certification rapidly.
Possess a current Secret clearance and willingness to obtain a TS with SCI eligibility.
Possesses wide IT domain knowledge bolstered with significant experience or advanced education and training. Domain knowledge covers End User Services, Network, Compute, Storage, Defensive Cyber Operations, IA & Accreditation, Application Hosting, DevSecOps, and Data Analytics.
Prior experiences as the Lead or Chief Engineer of similar IT technology projects
Thorough understanding and experience executing work within the ITIL or ITOM framework
Capable of identifying and leading resolution of the root cause of performance problems in an IT environment.
Ability and willingness to handle complex technical issues when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Five years of experience with engineering/architecting enterprise IT solutions in an IT environment with greater than 3,000 End Users, operating with multiple levels of network security.
Experience leading cloud adoption assessments and migrating applications to the cloud (public, private and hybrid).
Experience estimating project cost, schedule from requirements to go-live and operations.
Experience managing and consolidating diverse user interfaces and architectures within an organization.
Experience providing detailed engineering and technical leadership to engineering staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
Recognized cloud certification, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect, Cloud Certified Professional.
Possesses the ability to negotiate complex scenarios and challenges and to produce courses of action to resolve situations with predictable outcomes.
History of delivering complex, enterprise solutions with positive results.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
