The Defense Group is currently seeking an Information Assurance Engineer to lead the configuration and implementation efforts for all Windows assets within the facility. The candidate will also provide support for Linux platforms within the facility as necessary. The candidate will aid in delivering, configuring, and maintaining a diverse set of systems, from military weapon systems to business productivity systems. The desired candidate will be a part of an agile cyber team and will collaborate with the site Information System Security Manger, Information System Security Officers, and Administrators in providing customer solutions.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:
Leads efforts to deploy, configure, and maintain Windows assets within the facility.
Aids Senior Administrators in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux systems within the facility.
Perform operating system baselining and hardening using best practice guides such as DISA STIGs on business productivity systems and military weapons systems.
Respond to system malfunctions, maintenance, and helpdesk inquiries to resolve unclear problems which may require deep research and analysis.
Assist with development of Helpdesk/Knowledge Base articles.
Assist and advises on implementation of cyber security solutions, such as implementation of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and malicious code scanning tools.
Consult with the ISSM and Information Assurance personnel regarding software installation and updates in effort to remediate system vulnerabilities.
Assist with weekly audit log reviews and performs analysis on events to determine the implications of data within logs.
Provide solutions for new customer systems which involve the Windows operating systems both modern and legacy.
Support Incident Response by performing security log analysis.
Assist with developing Network Configuration Diagrams.
Provide status reports to the ISSM on current projects.
Ability to be agile and work multiple projects regarding implementation of systems.
Understand the impacts of key deliverables which they are responsible for and adjust accordingly.
Excellent verbal and documentation skills.
Experience is using business productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, OneNote) to keep track of assigned tasks.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years related experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Additional relevant experience, training, and / or certification may be considered in lieu of degree (e.g., Associates Degree with hands-on experience).
Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Security+ CE certification within 6 months of hire.
Candidates must possess or be able to pass one of the following Windows exams within 1 year of hire; 70-411, 70-741 or 70-744.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:
Experience with surface sonar military weapons systems or military weapon systems in general.
Clearance Required:
Candidates must possess a DoD Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00Covid Guidance
