Job Description:
Department of Interior (DOI) Division of Energy and Mineral Development (DEMD) contract provides IT and economic advisory support to all Indian mineral owners, and to landowners and Tribes have potential renewable energy resources can be exploited in Indian Country. Manages a variety of software tools, i.e. NIOGEMS (Oracle/.NET) (National Indian Oil/Gas Evaluation and Management System) and expert advice in the economic review of energy and mineral projects.
As a mechanical engineer you will be applying mechanical engineering methodologies, techniques and theory precepts principles to renewable energy projects. Provide engineering support to architectural engineering methodologies as it related to energy projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides support to Government regarding mechanical engineering issues related to the development of renewable energy resources and furnishes guidance in the conservation and development of these resources.
Provides technical advice and support to the Government for tribal renewable energy development programs. Evaluates the feasibility of planned projects from multiple views – financial feasibility, technical viability, operational viability, and practicality.
Employees may also be required to travel to remote sites for field work, training, and presentations of project work.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with two years experience.
Broad technical knowledge of renewable energy technologies and applications including.
The Government will provide specific knowledge and skills required on an as-needed basis to ensure the Contractor can successfully fill positions in this labor category.
Excellent communication skills; both oral & written.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00Covid Guidance
