The Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert Telecommunications Level 3 at either our customer or contractor site in Annapolis Junction, MD.
This contract is a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large, collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Analyzes, tracks and identifies industry trends, technologies, constraints and priorities regarding current and projected telecommunication systems.
Provides design, exploitation, and implementation of modern digital telecommunications systems and protocols, to include: Optical Transport Network (OTN) Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Synchronous Optical Networks (SONET), SDH and PDH, LAN/WAN Networks, IP Networks, and ATM switches.
- Provides Telecommunication analytic support to optimize and develop assigned customer accesses.
- Design, develop, exploit, and test components or systems that modulate or demodulate mobile cellular/personal communications systems.
- Design, develop, and test components or systems that modulate, demodulate, multiplex or demultiplex conventional Bell, CEPT, or SDH/PDH/OTN digital communications signals.
- Active TS SCI w/Poly
- 12+ years of technical experience in fiber optic communication, to include transmitters, receivers, fiber, amplifiers, Wavelength-division multiplexing, dispersion, attenuation, and regeneration.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree an additional four (4) years experience is required.
Pay Range:Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00
