Leidos has an opening for an Associate Director of Supplier Relationship Management reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer to work in Reston, VA. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies for the development and cultivation of supplier relationships directly resulting in technical and business collaboration, innovation, investment, and preferred pricing and terms. Provide governance of the Leidos Alliance Partnership Network (LAPN) and expand the portfolio of suppliers beyond digital modernization companies. Deep integration with OOT, Solution Architects, Business Development and Strategy. The successful candidate will be a motivated leader and a self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team of supplier relationship managers (SRMs) responsible for the top ~50 key supplier relationships across the corporation.
- Enable effective Leidos Supplier Executive Sponsors (ELT and SLT members) engagements with respective suppliers.
- Establish and deliver against KPIs such as savings, rebates, supplier investment, dedicated / firewalled supplier resources, and number of suppler engagements.
- Partner with suppliers, OOT and PE/VC firms to annually host a minimum of one (each) Supplier Innovation & Technology Symposium, Emerging Technology Day, Technology Showcase, and VAR Day.
- Maintain “Supplier Book” for ELT.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other functions and suppliers to solve subcontract/supplier issues of varying degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.
- Maintain an active understanding of budget and promote a culture that drives a strong Return on Supply Management Assets (ROSMA).
- Lead and drive closure on large initiatives and projects in direct support of the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
- Provide training, mentorship to team with varied levels of proficiencies. Conduct performance reviews, define development actions, identify and engage with top talent in his/her team.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Generally has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
- Strong knowledge of technology OEMS, distributors, and value-added resellers (VARs) and as well as a strong grasp of negotiation techniques.
- Executive presence and a strong business acumen
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
- Develop company policies related to subcontracting and procurement and provide guidelines for procurement staff to follow
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the FAR and DFARS
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships internally and externally
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working with executives and representing functional plans and priorities to senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications
- Accomplished supplier relationship manager or category manager
- Significant Capture experience developing strategic bill of materials (BOM) pricing
- Development and delivery of ELT level briefings
- ISM CPSM, NCMA CPCM or CFCM, APICS, PMI PMP, or other relevant professional certification(s)
- Ability to energize a dispersed team of professionals
Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00Covid Guidance
