Job Description:
Leidos is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior System Engineer SME to join our team in Arlington, VA, supporting the DISA-JSP customer.
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours’ onsite work to support both a NIPR and SIPR environment.
Position Overview:
Perform independent verification, validation, and project management for current and future projects. Projects for Applications and Hardware Refreshes/LCM/ Upgrades must be researched planned and verified before initiating. This candidate will be part of that team that executes this type of activity during projects and initiatives and is responsible for providing the team with data/information to be used in projects.
Provide technical support, advice and troubleshooting for utility network operations with a 98% target network uptime.
This group is specifically geared towards making sure that Virtual Applications are updated/patched and are deployed to the proper HW collection and are available over the JSP network via SCCM Streaming service. The troubleshooting portion of this position is a Tier IV elevation and should be used in case the Server Ops (Tier III) folks cannot resolve issue(s).
Produce documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating systems. May include creating/providing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Work Instructions (WI), Incident Work details, Work Orders, ECRB/CRQ/ CAB request documents, drawings, diagrams, datacenter hardware information, other deliverables as required.
Develop and document processes and procedures for the day to day operations.
Implement systems as needed based on network application requirements.
Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, SCCM, and WhatsUp Gold.
Provide support for VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies (ESX 5.5 or greater, Virtual Center, P2V Tools) design/management/implementation. Support with designing, managing and implementing a VMWare ESXi hypervisor virtualization technology using VMWare VCenter v 5.5 or later to include Horizon
Provide support for Storage Area Network (SAN). Supporting the SAN to ensure adequate operational space allocation is being managed as required. Adjusting LUN sizes required to efficiently store Virtual Machine files, customer shared drives and JSP network shares accordingly.
Provide installation support for network applications.
Supporting the SCCM distribution point controlled applications for streaming to customers.
Produce network architectural drawings and schematic diagrams.
Perform network monitoring of the network to include all assets.
Develop and maintain all workstation and server images.
Monitor and Maintain McAfee’s Host Based Security System (HBSS).
Maintain virus definitions, patch versions and Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) levels on all network servers and workstations.
Utilize the DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to update, manage and track implementation of information security requirements for the IT assets and resources.
Support as needed DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
Serve as the knowledge expert with experience installing, configuring, and administering VMware ESX/VSphere and SAN Technologies.
Required:
This position requires an active DOD Top Secret clearance.
Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work - IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH). Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or at least 12 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
United States citizenship or permanent resident
Candidate must have 8-12 years of experience with security products as well as working knowledge of VMware ESX/VSphere and SAN Technologies, Microsoft Products such as Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows 10, and Office 2016 Products. As well as knowledge of Security and auditing Tools for Windows and Linux operating systems such as ACAS and HBSS.
Serve as the knowledge expert with experience installing, configuring, and administering VMware ESX/VSphere and SAN Technologies. The applicant should have knowledge in optimizing VMware for utilization of SAN Storage. Windows Server 2012R2, Server 2016, and Windows 10 operating systems. This SME should have proven experience of Microsoft's operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and knowledge with other Microsoft Products. This SME should also have senior knowledge of TCP/IP network design and support including Windows Server 2012R2, Server 2016, and Windows 10 operating systems.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00Covid Guidance
