The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Foundry Program GIS Analyst (ESRI SME) at Ft Bragg, NC.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience helping the G37 TREX Program. This mission supports INSCOM, an Army Direct Reporting Unit (DRU), as it executes mission command of operational intelligence forces; conducts worldwide multi-discipline and all-source intelligence operations; delivers advanced skills training, linguist support, specialized quick reaction capabilities, and intelligence-related logistics, contracting, and communications in support of Army, Joint, and Coalition commands and the National Intelligence Community.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the INSCOM G-37 TREX and FORSCOM G2 Intelligence Warfighting Function Data Collection and Analysis Program
- Interface with Sr. Foundry Program Analysts in developing, interpreting, and preparing information for a wide variety of GIS datasets that can be geo-processed, analyzed, and mapped, leveraging ESRI and ArcGIS Suite of software, specifically Survey123 and Field Maps and the Army Geospatial Enterprise Portal
- Lead responses to Army Senior Leader information requirements
- Perform GIS data management by implementing methodologies and policies that adhere to the Project/Client GIS policies and procedures during the creation, maintenance, conversion, and use of spatial and tabular GIS datasets
- Research, gather, and analyze complex geospatial data and store geospatial data according to the clients’ requirements
- Develop and maintain database in ESRI’s Utility Network Model; including but not limited to:
- Build, revise and maintain data collection surveys and visualization dashboards
- Creating and explaining new data products created by spatial analysis
- Work with large datasets, including importing delimited or fixed field data files into database and GIS software, and data clean-up of different data sources of differing file types
- Develop and manage scripts for data analysis and systems integration; including but not limited to joining data from outside sources to existing spatial data
- Prepare maps and google earth files for clients using ESRI product software, including templates and forms in GIS platform and Excel
- Create specialized reports as part of deliverables to Clients including but not limited to:
- Excel, Access and PowerPoint presentations
- Dashboards, charts, diagrams and story maps
- Maintains and enhances geospatial data on the EPE’s GIS maps and databases
- Maintain knowledge of in-house and regional spatial data resources and stay abreast of GIS software trends and best practices in spatial data management
- Perform quality assurance/quality control procedures on delivered data; focused on but not limited to the below:
- Consistent and accurate spatial data
- Perform basic data maintenance to correct data issue
- Provide recommendations for necessary improvements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Must have Proficiency with the ESRI product line, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Utility Network Model, and their associated APIs or interfaces
- Experience with Python for the purposes of monitoring, generating reporting statistics, administration, and management of the ArcGIS Enterprise Platform
- Advanced working knowledge of geospatial devices, software tools and Enterprise Geodatabase (SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including but not limited to Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ArcGIS Online platform and associated products such as Survey123, Field Maps, Web App Builder, Story Maps, and Collector
This position has a salary range of $85,000-$95,000.
