Job Description:
Leidos has an immediate need for a software developer supporting a Mission Planning program in Orlando, FL or 100% remote. This position will be part of a team of software developers and engineers working in a DevSecOps environment, providing software tools & solutions to improve Air Force & Navy Mission Planning systems.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be energetic, eager to learn and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. Under supervision, core responsibilities will include:
- Creation and modification of software utilities for various Mission Planning needs
- Development of web applications, REST APIs, and occasional desktop utilities
- Software solution integration & prototyping in a DevSecOps environment
- Creating & maintaining software-development documentation.
- Software Development with Java and C#.Net
- Utilizing front-end web development tools for development and integration
- Software Development on microservices-based architectures and API design
- Mentoring less-experienced software developers on how to develop and integrate new capability within an AWS or Azure cloud-based DoD Mission Planning pipeline
- Providing Help-desk escalation software developer support
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of object-oriented software concepts
- 4+ years of software engineering experience including any .Net programming language or Java
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience calling/utilizing REST APIs
- Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments (IDE)
- Experience utilizing a source code version control system such as Git
- Experience programmatically interfacing with a relational database and basic database concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with .Net 5+ and .Net Framework
- Experience creating REST APIs
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Experience with dependency injection, mocking technologies, and writing unit tests
- Knowledge of web authentication mechanisms such as JWT
- Familiarity with object relational mappers, such as Entity Framework or Hibernate
- Experience with Team Foundation Server or JIRA
- Experience with common scripting tools such as Windows Command Prompt, PowerShell, & Linux Bash
- Knowledge of Virtual Machine environments and their use
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
