Leidos currently has an opening for an Administrative Assistant/Surety Clerk in our Bluegrass Army Depot Field Office in Richmond, Kentucky. This is an opportunity to apply your administrative experience and skills to support the field office team’s nationally important mission by ensuring efficient function of administrative processes. In this position, you will support the Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives (ACWA) program to manage documentation, schedule meetings, coordinate site visits, and carry out established processes to ensure compliance with Army regulations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in developing and carrying out routine processes to ensure consistency, have effective verbal and written communications skills, collaborate well with others and be able to work independently to plan and complete work to established deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be one of a team of administrative professionals working in coordination with the on-site Leidos team to provide administrative support to BGCAPP and have individual responsibility for Surety Clerk tasking.
The primary administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Performing routine administrative responsibilities including preparing, routing, issuing, distributing, and filing correspondence
- Developing and maintaining databases, tracking logs, etc. of correspondence and actions
- Providing staff and visitor in‑processing, mail and package receipt, processing Government forms, filing, and support with common office computer software (e.g., support in MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®, MS PowerPoint®, MS SharePoint®), and other common office administrative requirements.
- Providing project meeting support to include preparing invitations, scheduling, setting up teleconference and video conference equipment, taking meeting minutes, and general logistics of hosting meetings for the team and sometimes high-profile visitors.
Surety Clerk duties include:
- Reviewing applications in preparation for Government review for compliance with requirements.
- Maintaining surety program documents ensuring reviews and signatures comply with regulations and meet strict deadlines.
- Preparing and maintaining duty rosters to ensure they are correct and up to date at all times
- Processing and maintaining badging documents to ensure records are organized, complete and compliant with requirements.
- Reviewing operating contractor’s plans and procedures for compliance with surety and security to identify areas of non-compliance to the Government for action.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of office/team administrative experience
- Ability to obtain a Government Common Access Card for facility access
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently towards established daily and weekly goals.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with Government administrative procedures and process.
- Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment and demonstrated flexibility to adapt to evolving program operational focus.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $42,250.00 - $65,000.00 - $87,750.00Covid Guidance
