We are looking for an experienced Linux / Systems Engineer to support a program in Vienna, VA. This position will work supporting our $4.3 billion DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program, providing the modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Responsibility for managing and maintaining various Linux-based virtual machines, server health checks, server hardening and patching, backup and disaster recovery planning, automation using Ansible, as well as troubleshooting and creating documentation.
- Responsible for providing technical input and accomplishing complex development, deployment, and configuration tasks. Provide technical knowledge on tasks or technology assignments.
- Participate in direct communication and collaboration with ALL members of the Team, including issue management support, clarification and prioritization of production onsite tasks, reports, and site summaries.
- Compliance with Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines and other DoD policies will be required and tracked using Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) Change Control Board (CCB) process.
- Utilize proactive measures to ensure the continued health of servers.
*** The role will be on call on a rotating basis with other Engineers and Administrators on the team, providing 24x7 emergency support as needed for systems the team is responsible for.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
- US Citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance. Contract requirement.
- Prior experience supporting Military Health, including the complexity of tasks.
- RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Extensive experience with Linux-based IT systems.
- Working knowledge of Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and their implementation.
- Ability to pick up things quickly, including the ability to learn new software to support complex troubleshooting and 24X7 operations.
- Experience reviewing/monitoring log files for insight on server performance, security, error messages and/or underlying issues.
- Knowledge of integration and troubleshooting techniques.
- In depth awareness of technical trends
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
- Experience with large-scale implementation of Electronic Health Record system.
- RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
- Experience with Ansible, Rhapsody, Reddis, NodeJS, RabbitMQ.
- Some experience with Windows-based IT systems.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00#Remote
