Job Description:
Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions Operation at Leidos has an opening for an energetic and detail oriented Senior DevOps Engineer who will support the Operational Analysis and Reporting System (OARS) program for predictive models to help analysts proactively address emerging safety risks and make smarter system-level decisions.
Senior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:
• Understand full SDLC development with JAVA technology environment
• Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
• Communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements
• Should have ability to lead team and project and deliver on timely manner.
• Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently.
• Willing to learn and adopted new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project.
• Design solutions for complex projects.
• Coordinate with the customer to review software application requirements
• Develop technical solutions and design for environment setup, CI/CD, Databases, etc. for each Sprint
• Participate in Backlog grooms and at time lead a Feature: elaborating it to smaller user stories and present it to team during backlog groom.
• Participate and commit to the User Stories assigned in the Sprint
• Perform risk analysis design, mock-up, document, unit testing, system testing, Code review and support demonstration to User and deployment of Feature to Production.
• Support newer members of the team and support them to learn FAA domain and tools/technologies used on the Program.
• Perform as the Scrum Master as need arises.
• Complete FAA compliance training needs as required by Customer.
• Responsible for GFE and ensuring that IDE tools are updated regularly
Qualifications:
• Required a Bachelor of Science degree Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/Information Technology or related Field and 10+ years of DevOps experience with Java/JEE and .NET based technologies or a Masters with 6+years of prior relevant experience, will also be considered.
• Excellent hands-on experience of: System deployment automation, hardware/network infrastructure design, Linux/windows administration
• Hands on experience of: Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS, Amazon RDS, Amazon Elastic Cache, Elastic Load Balancer, EBS, EFS, S3, Glacier, etc.
• Hands on experience of: DevOps and CI/CD tools integration - Shell scripting, Ansible, PowerShell, Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Eclipse, Hp Fortify, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible Tower, AWS Auto-Scaling, Containerization, Amazon CloudWatch, etc.
• Hands on experience of: Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Security Vulnerability, OS hardening, Windows and Linux OS tuning, storage configuration, AWS EBS, AWS EFS, S3, etc.
• Hands on experience of: Apache Web server tuning and optimization, JBoss installation and configuration and IIS setup.
• Hands on experience of: SSL/TLS, Manage Security Certs, Identity Management products, etc.
• Hands on experience of: JBoss Application Server, Tomcat, Apache Web Server deployment and configuration.
• Hands on experience of: Oracle and PostgreSQL Database deployment and configuration
• Hands on experience of: Launch Windows and Linux AWS EC2 instances and configure OS as per On Prem legacy servers
• Hands on experience of: Oracle Database Migration from On Prem environment to AWS Cloud and PostgreSQL Database.
• Hands on experience of: Administering / managing Relational Database Management Systems, AWS cloud administration experience, Application security
• Strong working knowledge of: Rest services environments such as RESTful APIs and JSON
• Hands on experience of: Design, Development and integration of the tools, automation, resolving bugs, monitoring and maintaining dev/test/production environments
• Hands on experience with: DevOps and CI/CD tools integration - JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Eclipse, Hp Fortify, etc.
• Knowledge of: Testing frameworks and tools such as Junit, Mockito.
• Working experience of: Agile software development methodology, processes, sprint lifecycle, JIRA, Agile techniques is a must.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, curiosity, competitive spirit.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00Covid Guidance
