The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented Business Systems Analyst working on an Agile team. The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Systems (MODS) program. The successful candidate will serve as a Business Systems Analyst and member of a team with the responsibility to evaluate business processes, identify needs, and develop strategies to maximize efficiencies and functionality. The successful candidate may work with clients and interact with developers, stakeholders, system architects and various subject experts. This position requires that the successful candidate be a proactive agent for change, possess high energy, have a passion for quality, and be self-motivated.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work on one or more agile software implementation teams and with customers to design user interfaces, automate workflows, design data models, and obtain, translate, or address customer requirements.
Create and manage SQL Server application data models using SQL Server Management Studio.
Create and manage application metadata using internal admin tools and SQL Server Management Studio.
Configure workflows, user interfaces, reports and dashboards, and maintain metadata.
Design and develop analytic products and system content.
Triage, investigate, and research user tickets, address customer inquiries, and resolve issues.
Adhere to release management procedures; collaborate with product team and customers.
Participate in process management, engineering, and improvement; provide functional assessments for change requests.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Executing business process re-engineering and/or improvement projects, supporting mission-oriented business functions or research (e.g., data assessments, functional evaluations, gap analyses, etc.) and related applications or automated systems.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including experience and confidence interacting with high-level clients– i.e., skills in making independent presentations and program/policy recommendations to senior government officials and/or corporate counterparts.
Experience working in product teams executing rapid development in a SCRUM/KANBAN project management framework, e.g., experience working in 2–4-week sprint/deployment cycles.
Technical knowledge of relational database design, metadata management techniques, and a working understanding of tools used for database, content, and metadata management is a plus.
Requires deep Experience in an Agile development environment and proven ability to work under quick deadlines.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/project team; works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, technical leads, other technical resources, etc.)
Explains technical solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization.
Responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations to meet requirements.
Analyzes current and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
Microsoft Office suite experience required.
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Previous or current favorable clearance
Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio experience
Background or experience with the US Army Personnel and Strength Management, Medical Readiness, DoD, or Defense Health Agency (DHA)
Technical Certifications a plus
Pay Range:
Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00#Remote
