Leidos’ Homeland Security Solutions Division is seeking a dynamic, mission-centric Cloud Technologist to support a federal agency’s large, mission-critical 24/7/365 enterprise Hybrid Multi-cloud infrastructure.  The position may be on client-site in the Baltimore Washington DC area or telework.

The Cloud Technologist will serve as the lead cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implementing and overseeing Hybrid Multi-Cloud computing strategy. The candidate will oversee application assessment to support migration of applications from on-premises to multi cloud. The successful candidate should be collaborative, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and technical management skills to deliver the best solutions in support of the customer’s mission. The candidate must possess strong communications skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Experience within Department of Homeland Security domain (preferably TSA) and familiarity with security and compliance requirements for agencies in DHS is highly preferred.
  • Assist with program's Multi-environment cloud DEVops capability spanning AWS and Azure cloud environments, including the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline.  Facilitate Communication & Team Integration: support communication, integration, and transparency across the team as demonstrated by implementing operations initiatives, initiating meetings, promoting Jira, lessons learned, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps Engineer that can maintain hybrid multi-cloud environment and mature the existing CI/CD pipeline (e.g. CloudBees, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Low level programming and scripting capable individual (Python, Bash, YAML, JSON) who can maintain the environment is ideal.
  • Understanding of aspects of architect and design enterprise cloud solutions
  • Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems in a Hybrid Multi-Cloud environment
  • As a Cloud Technologist on this program, you will design, develop, and implement a Cloud-Native Service architecture that software development teams can leverage to move services to use native cloud
  • Support migration of existing on-premises data center applications to the cloud
  • Configure and implement cloud resources to support new applications.
  • Implementing and controlling flow of data to and from hybrid cloud
  • Selecting appropriate different cloud providers service based on compute, data or security requirements
  • Lead the resolution of multi-Cloud operations incidents and problems.
  • Lead the implementation of cloud usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms

Basic Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps Engineer that can maintain hybrid multi-cloud environment and mature the existing CI/CD pipeline (e.g. CloudBees, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Experience in Cloud Containerization Services.
  • Experience with M365 Cloud solutions.
  • Experience with low code/no code cloud solutions using Appian, Pega and Camunda.
  • Experience with API Gateways such as MuleSoft and other Open Source Gateways.
  • Experience with Platform-As-A-Service Solutions such as Salesforce, Service Now
  • Experience/familiarity with IAM and Federation in hybrid multi-cloud environment.
  • Extensive experience working with SecDevOps CI/CD related technologies (Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Confluence, Sonar Lint, and other cloud native services)
  • Knowledge of Software Configuration Management life cycle deliverables
  • In-depth experience with different CSPs Console, CLI, and manage services utilizing cloud services to build infrastructure as a code in an automated fashion
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience of supporting Commercial Cloud Services (e.g. AWS, AZURE, CLOUD+, Google Cloud)
  • Strong experience with cloud and virtualization concepts (e.g., vCloud Director, Amazon, OpenStack)
  • Working experience with developing/maintaining Cloud provisioning templates
  • Knowledge of architecting and engineering virtual environments and solutions, to include VMware
  • Experience with application/data migration to AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience scaling application(s) and/or hosting environment to support increases in traffic
  • Working experience with network infrastructure services such as LDAP/AD/DNS and DHCP
  • Active Public Trust Clearance
  • BS degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college and 8+ or more years of technology engineering experience; Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Industry Standard Certifications and Professional Cloud Certifications (e.g. AWS Sys Ops Administrator, Cloud+)
  • Familiar in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL4 Foundation in IT Service Management certification
  • General knowledge of business processes, management structures, and technology programs/platforms
  • Experience implementing secure SecDevOps methodologies and knowledge of Container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing and managing network and application performance monitoring tools, e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, SolarWinds
  • Strong experience with cloud orchestration tools (vRealize, vCenter Orchestrator, etc.)
  • Experience managing infrastructure solutions deployed in AWS GovCloud and other CSPs
  • Experience integrating different CSPs with database administrator and SecDevOps teams
  • Experience scripting against CSPs CLI
  • Experience in Site Recovery Manager (SRM)

Desired Certifications:

  • AWS Associate Solution Architect
  • Azure Solution architect

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00
