Leidos is in search for an experienced energetic individual as Senior Deputy Program Manager who like a challenge to support our team on the AFCENT A6 Communications Technical Support Services (CTSS) IV program. 

This program focuses on providing communications systems, acquisition, integration, installation, operations and maintenance support to U.S. Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT) operations. 

Work on the contract will be performed at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, S.C., and USAFCENT deployment locations throughout Southwest and Central Asia.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Works under the direction of the Sr. Program Manager to provide programmatic oversight of geographically dispersed employees in Southwest Asia (SWA) assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas, implementing industry best practices to meet contract requirements.

  • Establishes milestones and ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies and manages risks and program problems and develops mitigations/solutions.

  • Presents formal and informal project status/plan briefings to the government and corporate managers through oral and written communications.

  • Serve as contract representative and is responsible for managing all aspects of the program, including project planning, development and implementation according to cost, schedule, and technical (scope) requirements.

  • Collaborates with the Senior Program Manager to ensure the customers expectation are met and/or exceeded.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited university with twelve (12) or more years’ experience; or a Master’s degree from an accredited university with ten (10) or more years’ experience in supervising personnel, managing multiple, complex, technical programs including budgetary responsibility, planning and estimating work loading requirements, communicating and interfacing with DoD customers. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Four (4) or more years in a supervisory position with similar technical requirements; satisfies the minimum Bachelor degree requirement.

  • Must have at least two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in the Southwest Asia (SWA) area of responsibility (AOR) and at least five (5) years of “hands on” work experience in any of the following military communication systems:

    • Information Technology

    • RF Communications

    • Satellite Communications

    • Telecommunications

    • Analog, power and/or RF design

    • Tech Control

    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Clearance Required:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required.


CTSS IV

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
