Leidos is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to be a part of an Agile development test team to support design, development, integration, test, deployment and training on an advanced distributed training simulation system. The position will be responsible for the day to day activity of verifying system designs, development and implementation. This position will provide the team’s expertise on synthetic terrain interactions and be primarily responsible for the test/and definition of terrain related issues within the training system. Test position will need to be local/hands-on and may require some travel. It is expected that the position will require a command of operational and training applications and a high degree of knowledge of computer applications. The I&T position will require the ability to support development of training as well as occasional deployment in the military fielded sites within the CONUS. Travel is not expected to be extensive (2-3 x per year).
A candidate will be responsible for performing the verification and validation of software and systems development. Duties include software requirements analysis and limited development of system test appliances and controls. A candidate may participate in integration testing with hardware products, development environments, distributed environments, point of need operations, network architectures, and other system level features and capabilities.
A successful candidate will possess the ability to interpret and develop test procedures and exercise steps, walk through complex user activities, and determine success or failure of the test procedures. A successful candidate needs to demonstrate that they can solve simple, routine technical problems following established procedures and policies. Preference is given to candidates who possess experience in the military training environment especially Army training.
- Possess or be able to acquire a DOD Secret level clearance
- Possess an AA or bachelor's degree in an appropriate field
- Experience with Synthetic Terrain Databases is required
- Have at least 2 years demonstrated background in software test, synthetic terrain test, training systems or network operations
- Demonstrate awareness and use of formalized test procedures and test processes, including documenting results
- Prior military experience, preferably in Army training, but other military experience will be considered.
- Experience in Agile Development and Testing environment
- Experience and background in Army Training environment
- Knowledge of military network operations
- Certifications held related to data management, IA, security or test
Pay Range:Pay Range $50,700.00 - $78,000.00 - $105,300.00
