The IDOL team in the Intel division at Leidos currently has an opening for an Associate Software Engineer to work in our Reston, VA office. In support of a DoD/Intel program, the engineer will develop, maintain and enhance complex and diverse software systems. The engineer will support research, engineering, and development of innovative solutions to support operational cyber missions. Work includes engineering robust infrastructure, end-point capabilities, and cloud implementations. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team.
POSITION/PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Successful candidate will participate in a wide range of projects to include: large and small scale application design and build utilizing the Agile methodology, mobile app design and development, securing mobile devices including communications, integration and interface development of various security products, integration and interface development of various analytic products, implementation of automated behavioral analysis tools to monitor network traffic, integration of mobile capabilities for logistics, modernization of web-based user interfaces.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform software analysis, design, development and test of specific requirements related to Windows, Linux and mobile operating systems. Determine system and software specifications and architecture to meet customer requirements. Utilize Web Apps, Cloud (Public/Private/Hybrid), UX, AR/VR, Automated Test, IA, and Systems Engineering methods.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Recent Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science within 12 months of start date.
Knowledge of Java, XML/XSL, mobile application programming, and/or database systems.
Skills should include knowledge of web services, SOA, C/C+, LINUX, encryption, security, and communications.
Proficiency in computer applications, languages, technologies, set-up and configurations, trouble shooting, and system design.
Eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with software security requirements, Information Assurance policies and mobile technologies.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $78,000.00 - $105,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
