We are in search of an Instructional Systems Designer / Course Developer to join our task force at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, home of the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In this role you will be given the opportunity to promote advancements in the training curriculum and enhance presentations for interactive training by supporting the activities of FAA students.

We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated Super Star who wants to take things to the next level. If you are capable of creating presentations & training curriculum, working in the world of Adult Learning, you may be the perfect candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The candidate must assist the Designee Standardization Branch within AFS-600 and provide training support services to both, the Section and Branch. This position focuses on training curriculum and presentation support.
- Provide support in developing the overall design for training curriculum to meet identified training needs using instructional design methodology through all phases of each project; including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
- Provide support in establishing project plans and leads teams in the development of new learning content and monitors completion of milestones and deliverables.
- Provide support in the design of curriculum, instruction, and assessment materials using knowledge of current trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Provide support in designing learning curriculum utilizing an array of instructional design strategies that focus on innovative ways to deliver and deploy learning.
- Provide support in the following of Adult Learning Methodology to identify and write learning objectives, storyboard content and design learning approaches.
- Provide support with Integrating evaluation methods and tools within the training to measure the impact and effectiveness through knowledge checks or other assessments.
- Provide support with following the established learning standards to ensure the training requirements are met for all content and programs.
- Provide support in conducting reviews of the design and development of training and development programs, products, and services to evaluate effectiveness, including benchmarking to industry standards.
- Provide support in maintaining up-to-date training and development research and innovative ideas supporting learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge regarding the preparation, design, and creation of media and courseware.
- A good understanding of multi-media tools, animation products, and graphic software to include the following Articulate storyline, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
- The ability to produce presentations and learning materials.
- Experience creating and maintaining media repositories.
- Experience working in the aviation environment, a plus.
- Knowledge of FAA standards, policies, and regulations, a plus.
- Experience with Section 508, the 1998 amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 for accessibility compliance (29 U.S.C § 794 (d)
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience; or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Instructional Systems Design work experience in the the aviation environment.
- Experience working with Learning and Development training curriculum or interactive training programs.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00#Remote
