Job Description:

The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented and experienced .NET Software Applications Developer to work on an Agile team.  The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Service (MODS) program.  The successful candidate will serve as a .NET developer in a team environment, responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating, and maintaining software applications, and applying frameworks involved in a software release.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates as an experienced .NET developer, reviewing code, mentoring other developers, creating solutions for larger and more complex issues.

  • Participates in solutions meetings and acts as a technical advisor to project managers on the team regarding direction.

  • Performs back-end development in C# using ASP.NET MVC.

  • Performs front-end development using TypeScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.

  • Experience with database development using SQL Server, including designing and implementing stored procedures.

  • Completion of Unit testing and UI test automation.

  •  Prepares design documentation, tests code, analyzes system log data, and documents changes.

  • Analyzes trouble tickets and resolves programming issues.

  • Collaborates with other senior developers and engineers.

  • Reviews customer requirement documentation and seeks clarification.

  • Leads projects that support software integration, defines database design and integration requirements, and external database and software integration.

  • Develops and verifies software plans and release milestones for new and existing projects.

  • Leads peer review and test efforts for multiple projects.

  • Identifies efficiencies of custom or third-party solutions and conducts trade off analysis to determine potential courses of action.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.:

  • Experience with .NET, C#, SQL, ASP.Net/Web services, Java script, jQuery, ADO.NET, Model View Controller (MVC), HTML5.

  • Experience working with a source control system such as Git, TFS, or Subversion.

  • Solid understanding of and experience with object-oriented design and programming.

  • Working knowledge of functional programming techniques.

  • Good understanding of an ORM such as Entity Framework.

  • Experience designing and writing unit tests.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database programming.

  • Understanding of database design patterns, performance tuning techniques, and the tools used to accomplish them.

  • Experience with patterns applicable to large amounts of data, such as efficient paging and caching strategies.

  • Experience with modern web APIs and single-page JavaScript applications is a must.

  • Experience with debugging tools such as Log2Console, browser developer tools, and SQL Server Profiler.

  • Experience in an Agile development environment and proven ability to work under quick deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.

  • Responsible for contributing to projects and/or processes within the specific technical area.

  • Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with team members, deep analyses and understanding of impact on the end-product or solution.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once and ability to reprioritize projects as necessary.

  • Excellent technical skills to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills working in a customer-focused team environment

  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance

  • BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience

  • Previous or current favorable clearance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
