Leidos is looking for a Jr. Software Engineer to support Immersive Simulation Training to prevent Sexual Harassment on the Accelerating VA Innovation and Learning (AVAIL) program. This position serves on a program/contract to design, develop, test, and validate a virtual, immersive environment that enables training related to the prevention of sexual harassment for Veterans Affairs (VA) employees. Work includes the development of a working prototype – including functionality across multiple head-mounted displays–to validate the virtual and immersive experience, done so in collaboration with VA clinical experts who will determine utility and feasibility of this solution in a pilot study.
Provide technical expertise for the further design, development, testing, and evaluation of a virtual, immersive environment.
Ensure full compliance with all contract requirements, schedules, and provisions.
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience.
Previous experience in digital engineering.
Previous experience with immersive application development, with a focus on striving to invent new ways of visualizing data in spatial environments and creating analytical interfaces.
