We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Deputy Deployment Training Manager to support a program in Vienna, VA.  This position will work supporting our $4.3 billion DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program, providing the modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense.  Leidos, along with core partners Cerner, Accenture, and Henry Schein, will support the DHMSM Program Executive Office (PEO) and the Defense Health Agency in the global deployment of our proposed EHR system that will deliver improved system capability to the DoD whenever and wherever healthcare is required.  This is one of the most exciting, cutting-edge programs that you can be a part of with Team Leidos.  Our solutions will improve the quality of healthcare for some 10 million military personnel and their families. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This individual will work directly with the Deployment Training Manager identifying customer training requirements, creation of the overall training strategy and execution of training program/plan to our customer.  The Deputy Deployment Training Manager will be the direct supervisor for the DHMSM Trainer Resourcing and Logistics Team.  In this role, he/she will work closely with Resourcing Lead to manage the staffing and logistics of the third-party subcontractors who support end user training activities for all sites and waves, including but not limited to, the schedule creation, resource management and alignment, training execution, and go live support.   

  • Report to and function as backup to the Deployment Training Manager upon his/her absence
  • Manage and supervise daily activities for the Trainer Resourcing and Logistics team (4-5 Leidos employees), as well as subcontract employees
  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities and delivery of the DHMSM deployment training efforts, ensuring efficient execution and adequate resource staffing for program needs
  • Manage all aspects of the third-party subcontract trainer resources, including the assessment and identification of potential staffing needs, development of job requisitions, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding/orientation of new team members
  • Work closely with the DHMSM Subcontract Managers and Third-Party Subcontract Managers on all matters relating to the third-party training staff
  • Collaborate with the DHMSM Travel Team, Site Leads, Deployment Team and CAMs to ensure program deployment training tasks are successfully completed on time and within contract guidelines
  • Identify and promote the training staffing needs of ongoing training programs including Trainer development and continuous learning programs
  • Conduct the tracking and reporting of staffing metrics such as attendance, performance feedback and compliance to Leidos and DHMSM Policies
  • Leverage experience with staff logistics, scheduling and provisioning for large, complex, long duration training programs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance 
  • Project management experience leading teams and engaging with a highly visible customer
  • Experience with Subcontract Management, Scheduling and Resource Assignment, Travel Logistics and Coordination, SLICS, and EVMS
  • Experience with support of Training operations and delivery healthcare delivery
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels
  • Ability to analyze data and information and make recommendations to program management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against deadlines
  • Flexible and available to travel approximately 10%

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

  • Experience in large scale IT deployment projects. (Preferably Government contract deployments)
  • Working knowledge of EVMS, or ability to learn, scheduling processes to include use of Microsoft Project software, and integration of EVMS processes with Risk Management is preferred

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
