Job Description:
The Emergency Management Consultant will serve as the subject matter expert and advisor to Leidos on preparedness training objectives, needs, and concerns. The Emergency Management Consultant may be require to represent Leidos to senior FEMA leadership, State and Local senior leadership, and other senior government officials on matters concerning the preparedness and readiness of tribal communities.
The Emergency Management Consultant will perform the following duties:
Act as a Liaison for the CDP-Leidos Training Delivery Services with the State and Local jurisdictions identifying and coordinating training and emergency management support requirements.
Provide SME guidance on the current readiness of the U.S. Emergency Services.
Provide SME guidance on First Responder and First Receiver Training and Education to include working with American Colleges & Universities and other Universities providing Emergency Management or Emergency Services curricula/curriculum development.
Assist in the development of legislation for improving Emergency Services Readiness for State and Local jurisdictions.
Establish and strengthen relationships with State and Local jurisdiction leadership to further the training mission at CDP.
Assist in development of strategies for emergency preparedness training and exercise with State and Local Emergency Management offices and other supporting Federal and State agencies.
The Emergency Management Consultant must have the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in an emergency response or related field
15 + years of experience in an emergency response disciplines
Current teaching experience
Significant experience in conducting and coordinating preparedness training for State and Local jurisdiction.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience advising Congressional Members, State and Local elected official on the state of emergency preparedness of responders and receivers.
Experience working with Senior Government Leadership at the Agency Level regarding emergency preparedness training.

Pay Range - -The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
