The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented Junior .NET Software Applications Developer working on an Agile team. The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Systems (MODS) program. The successful candidate will serve as a Junior .NET Software Applications Developer with the responsibility for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications, and applying frameworks involved in a software release. The successful candidate will assist with developing creative solutions to complex problems while working in a DevSecOps environment, enabling the creation of custom software products by combining ready-to-use components, for our government customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Back-end development in C# using ASP.NET MVC.
Front-end development using TypeScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
Unit testing and UI test automation.
DevSecOps support for both public and private cloud deployments.
Prepares design documentation, tests code, analyzes system log data, and documents changes.
Analyzes trouble tickets and resolves programming issues.
Collaborates with senior developers and engineers.
Reviews customer requirement documentation and seeks clarification.
Assists with database projects that support software integration, defines database design and integration requirements, and external database and software integration.
Supports the development and verification of software plans and release milestones for new and existing projects.
Identifies efficiencies of custom or third-party solutions and conducts trade off analysis to determine potential courses of action.
Assists with and supports peer reviews and test efforts for multiple projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Experience with .NET, C#, ASP.Net/Web Services, Java Script, jQuery, ADO.NET.Model View Controller (MVC), HTML5.
Experience working with a source control system such as Git, TFS, or Subversion.
Solid understanding of and experience with object-oriented design and programming.
Working knowledge of functional programming techniques.
Good understanding of an ORM such as Entity Framework.
Experience designing and writing unit tests.
Solid understanding of data modeling and database programming.
Understanding of database design patterns, performance tuning techniques, and the tools used to accomplish them.
Experience with patterns applicable to large amounts of data, such as efficient paging and caching strategies.
Experience with modern web APIs and single-page JavaScript applications.
Experience with debugging tools such as Log2Console, browser developer tools, and SQL Server Profiler.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/project team; works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, technical leads, other technical resources, customers, etc.)
Explains technical solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization.
Experience working in an agile environment and proven ability to work multiple project with overlapping deadlines
May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
Works independently or as part of a team.
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance.

Previous or current favorable clearance
Background or experience with the US Army Personnel and Strength Management, Medical Readiness, DoD, or Defense Health Agency (DHA), and/or military experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
