Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Quality Assurance Test Engineer who will be a member of a dynamic team working on the Internal Revenue Services’ (IRS) Paper Remittance Processing Support III (PRPS III) systems. PRPS III is a data collection scanning solution responsible for processing thousands of paper tax forms and remittance sent into the IRS using data entry and OCR scanning technology to help the IRS successfully process tax filings across the country annually.
The PRPS III systems are legacy systems vital to tax processing by the IRS maintained by Leidos. We intend to continue providing excellent support and service to the IRS through modernization with future plans to integrate innovative technologies such as cloud computing, virtual server platforms, and 2D barcode scanning into our systems.

Working both as a member of a team and independently, the successful candidate will be:
Developing, testing, and validating test scenarios
Executing test plans in the Lab and virtually
Identifying software and system issues across the various systems and functions
Capture defect issue tickets in a defect management system
Performing data analysis necessary to verify test results and defect fixes
Documenting test processes and procedures
Following test processes and using the most efficient methods to deliver a quality product
Delivering high quality work products on or ahead of schedule
Meeting or exceeding all individual and team objectives/milestones
Maintaining a team-oriented and positive attitude
Responsibility include developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Your GPA needs to be included on your application and resume.
US Citizenship Requirements
Developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems.
May include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of client and/or company products.
Creation of reports, executive summaries, white papers and PowerPoint Presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
English language written proficiency,
Microsoft Office proficiency to include PowerPoint
Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
