The work includes trade studies, system engineering, model based system engineering, portfolio analysis, software development demonstration and product testing and deployment to Cheyenne Mountain. Leidos is focused on finding the best people, processes, and tools that will provide solutions in data integration and fusion, data analytics, data mining, predictive analytics, data visualization, and decision support tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of missile defense systems
- Participate in sprint and increment testing to validate software
- Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment
- Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologies
- Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets
- Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements
- Design and develop automated tests at all levels: unit level, integration, and system test
- Software systems development, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products
- Work with System Engineering Team to schedule, synchronize and execute demonstration capabilities to customers
- Work with third-party contractors and stakeholders on any potential regression coding due to deployment delays
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s with 4 years of experience or Masters with 2 years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Experience in coding C++ and Java scripts, runtime and web logic
- Currently possess a Secret clearance
- Experience with missile warning and missile warning defense
- Understanding of missile warning message types
- Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion
- Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in associated field
- Experience with the Agile software development process IAW USG defined requirements
- Experience with MatLab
- Past experience in Command and Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), Global Data Integration (GDI), or other key missile defense programs or areas
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
Covid Guidance
