Job Description:

The NISC IV program is hiring for an Course Developer to support the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position will serve as a professional Instructional Systems Designer, responsible for planning, developing and possibly delivering training technical programs on the NISC III program.

  • Duties may include analyzing training needs and developing programs to address them; providing consultation and recommendations to customers on innovative training solutions, as well as on effective and relevant curriculum development and delivery for the FAA; creating asynchronous and synchronous instruction designed for a distributed learning environment; working with instructors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), instructional technologists, and multimedia developers to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate distributed learning solutions; creating storyboards, scripts, scenario-based instruction, and other advanced learning strategies to meet the needs of the learners; providing expertise in the creation of processes, and implementation of distributed learning; performing the actual detailed development of course materials or courseware, as well as product testing, and maintenance.

  • May also provide train-the-trainer programs and qualify trainers for content delivery.

  • The position requires participation in monthly offsite training sessions within the Oklahoma City, OK area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA degree and 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience defining and developing SCORM- and 508-compliant products.

  • Extensive experience using Articulate Storyline 2, including creating highly interactive templates for LMS and Blackboard applications.

  • Experience with multi-media design architecture.

  • Previous experience supporting DoD, or other Federal Government agencies.

  • Ability to teach and mentor others.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project.

  • Ability to manage knowledge sharing environments. Strong interpersonal and teaming skills.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
