Job Description:
The Leidos Spatial Solutions Division is looking for an experienced Agile Release Manager to assist with meeting the mission’s deployment schedule for operational software applications and infrastructure for a government customer. This role will support a full range of release management activities, including coordination of testing activities, application security compliance, Engineering Review activities, and special projects that will require individual ownership of program level events.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Ownership of the release management lifecycle for projects and tasks
Develop knowledge of the program's software and hardware footprint capabilities across multiple environments. Understand how individual components effect the cloud enterprise.
Create and manage a release process which adheres to security policies and procedures and fits with the agile mission needs of the customer
Understand how to onboard new mission areas or functionality into the cloud enterprise.
Collaborate with team leads to plan and manage task delivery requirements across multiple task orders
Update stakeholders on deployment status concerning schedule, issues, blockers, risks and mitigations.
Coordinate pre-deployment and post-deployment activities such as deployment checklists, retrospectives & lessons learned feedback
Development and maintenance of program deployment and release flow diagrams
Minimum Qualifications:
Capture and analyze deployment metrics in relation to level of effort, time spent, schedule performance, root cause analysis, emerging trends, etc.
Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships to enhance the programs reputation as a trustworthy and timely deployment partner
Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
Ability to manage across complex projects and conflicting demands
Knowledge of agile principles and methodology
Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Requires BS degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Service+
Experience with cloud-based architectures
Familiar with cross domain architectures at various levels
Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
