The Intelligence Group within Leidos is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to fill an immediate vacancy on a large high visibility program. The successful candidate will assume the role of a Technical Writer within the PMO for a large program, and will work successfully with the PM, DPM, back office Manager and back office team. This is a telework opportunity.
The candidate will be responsible for creating technical documentation as well as editing and proofreading documents created by other team members. The ideal candidate should be able to develop solutions to problems and create quality documents using domain knowledge and thorough analysis. Major tasks for this position include leading task order and/or proposal efforts and serving as the lead technical writer. Working with the back office team to edit and provide coaching on their technical writing. Translating technical information into documentation for non-technical audiences. Working closely with stakeholders and teammates to identify and document their needs and provide that information in clear and concise documentation to the Customer.
This position will play a key role in Task Order proposal writing and management. Seeking a candidate that has the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, can multi task exceptionally well, and has demonstrated success developing well thought out technical documentation.
Mandatory Skills:
- Requires a BA degree and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience as a professional technical writer
- A broad understanding of software development tools and terminology
- Experience proofreading and editing technical documentation
- Must have a strong capability for planning, organizing, and tracking assigned tasks
- Must be able to interact with Teammates and Customers in an effective manner
- Prior experience with proposal writing preferred

Pay Range:
Pay Range $38,350.00 - $59,000.00 - $79,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
