This role requires an experienced Agile Scrum Master to work in a Government IC environment. The Scrum Master will be responsible for one or more Software Integration teams as part of a larger Agile Release Train (ART) delivering value to the customer using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as the agile framework. The Scrum Master helps educate the team in scrum to ensure the agreed agile process are being followed. They also help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. Ideal candidate has software development and/or application integration project management experience and an understanding of the use of DevSecOps tools and processes to facilitate configuration management, testing, and deployment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the team is making progress against its project commitments.
  • Protects the team from scope creep during execution of project commitments.
  • Helps removes impediments for the team and raises larger issues to the proper Program Leadership.
  • Help other team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate; support team in meeting their delivery goals.
  • Supports and enforces Scrum and/or Kanban processes and other rules.
  • Works with the Team Lead to review and prioritize objectives and implementation plans for the project.
  • Assign and manage stakeholder requests using a Kanban approach.
  • Helps the team coordinate with other teams and communicates status to management as needed.
  • Leads and facilitates SAFe ceremonies to include planning, demos, retro, etc.
  • Work with Team Lead to develop User Stories to meet the project acceptance criteria.
  • Acquire in-depth understanding of a large complex software system, and assess risk and understand varied customer needs.
  • Leading collection, dissemination, and interpretation of team metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BS degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Must possess ACTIVE TS clearance
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, good attitude, be a results-oriented team player, creative thinker, problem solver, and follow all Leidos ethical standards.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer or Product Owner
  • Experience working with a SAFe Agile software development team, managing project deadlines (ideally in a Scrum Master or Product Owner role).
  • Domain knowledge and/or experience, especially familiarity with software development, DevSecOps, and/or COTS/FOSS integration.
  • Familiarity with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), especially Oracle IAM suite.
  • Familiar with program’s suite of tools (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with multiple test phases (unit, regression, feature acceptance, independent validation and verification), multiple test environments, cloud and on-premise infrastructures, baseline configuration management, automated testing and deployment.
  • Familiarity with DoD ICD 503 authorization and assessment process.
  • Experience working with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
  • Holds a SAFe Agile Certification

Clearance Requirements*

Requires an active Top Secret security clearance upon hire and must meet SCI eligibility. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within the customer’s timeline after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

This is a fully funded position but contingent until the security clearance crosses over.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Covid Guidance
