Job Description:

Leidos is seeking an energetic DevSecOps Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility to join the Air Force Technical Application Center (AFTAC) US National Data Center (US NDC) team. The candidate requires a DoD Top Secret clearance and must be SCI eligible. All work will be done on site at Patrick AFB.

The DevSecOps Engineer will occasionally lead DevOps projects, and work side by side with the software, systems, hardware, and operations teams to design, implement, and automating build, release, deployment, monitoring and configuration activities. The successful candidate will have strong priors around automation design and implementation in real-time systems or high-reliability environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management.
  • Participate in and lead when needed Engineering Scrum and design meetings to drive quality releases.
  • Provide systems engineering and administration support for CPE/CDE mission environments.
  • Lead development, test and maintain build and deployment for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Evaluate and support development tools.
  • Produce and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and requirements for systems.
  • Research, suggest, and apply new promising technologies, strategies and ways to solve technical issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • BS in technical field with 8 years of related experience.  Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and IT certifications in Linux or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of DoD processes, policies and guidance.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 mission system environment.
  • Fluent with Linux Red Hat, Centos, and virtualized environments including vCenter, VDIs and vSANs.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Working experience with software development tools installation and configurations.
  • Fluent with Nessus and STIG implementation, to include understanding of testing prior to full implementation.
  • Experience with Red Hat Identify Management and LDAP.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Familiar with containerization, especially Kubernetes, Docker and podman.
  • Fluent in developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment to include customer and contractor technical team members, end users, and management.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies and the ability to perform continuous research and analysis and support technology evaluations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiar with JIRA and Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting a high availability 24x7 mission system.
  • Experience working in a CPE/CDE environment and configurations.
  • Experience building out CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tool.
  • Experience with designing and developing a disaster recovery protocol.
  • Demonstrated general experience of a research, development, information systems engineering or information operations nature and have a demonstrated ability to apply principles and methods of information technology in problems dealing with information security and information assurance.
  • Experience working with and leading multi-disciplined technical teams.
  • Experience with configuration management/version control systems and problem tracking system.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
