We are in search of a Operations Support Manager to join our team and who will be responsible for the overall management of the Operations Support teams, based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK's defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting military operations and training events worldwide. The teams comprise of:
- The Customer Service Desk (CSD) (16 x personnel) who provide a ticketing support service for MOD customers 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year
- The Contingent Operational Stocks team (COS) (8 x personnel). Their focus is managing and issuing COS stock in support of military operations
- The Forms and Publications team (4 x personnel). Their task is to manage demands for all MOD forms and publications
Duties include:
- Working closely with the Operations Abbey Wood team on the coordination and submission of Operational Task Issues, ensuring that surges in activity are identified at the earliest opportunity
- Acting as the focal point for all Operations Support queries from a management perspective
- Managing change request submissions. Identify those which will impact the Ops Support area and provide costings back to the change request team concerned in accordance with the priority outlined. Attend planning meetings related to those Statements of Requirements (SORs) which will impact on the Ops Support area
- Managing the SOR line activity for the teams ensuring that Service Level Agreement lines are continually managed and delivered each month. Provide reporting on these upon request
- Responding and dealing with issues raised by MOD customers/internal areas of the business
- Providing support during silent hours as required. In general, this is only during operational activity however this can be crucial to the delivery of operational outloads.

- Ability to work under pressure and against challenging timelines
- Ability to work routinely unsupervised
You Might Also Have:
- Understanding of Defence Logistic Supply Chain processes
- Experience in managing / coordinating activities in international supply chains
- Operations management experience

- Clearance for Role SC
