Job Description:
Leidos is looking for a Systems Engineer to be part of a team responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization and maintenance of LAN/WAN/Video/Voice/desktop infrastructure. This position will work with engineers on various technical projects. This could include but not limited to systems consolidation and integration, architecture designs and updates, site renovations and relocations.
Systems engineer will be responsible for supporting technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. The candidate will serve to maintain a strong awareness of technical trends in information technology, develop and maintain a strong awareness of on-going IT projects, and business unit requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments.
- Analyzes user requirements and high-level system architecture to develop system requirements specifications
- Provides technical leadership for the integration of design requirements, and technology
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with development in a Cloud Environment
- Experience with Linux administration
- Hands-on experience with installing, configuring and updating Windows 2012R2.
- Experience as systems engineer responsible for writing requirements, developing and executing non-production validation of prospective O&M activities, and technical training;
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forums.
- Ability to write PowerShell scripts for a variety of functions.
- Previous experience successfully leading development teams Supports system development/implementation planning by preparing system engineering management, system integration, and/or test plans
- Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.
- Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Leads design and development activities to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables
- Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
- Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.
- Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant, additional experience in lieu of degree
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with development in a Cloud Environment
- Experience with Linux administration
- 8+ years of Hands-on experience with installing, configuring and updating Windows.
- 8+ years of experience as systems engineer responsible for writing requirements, developing and executing non-production validation of prospective O&M activities, and technical training;
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forums.
- Ability to write PowerShell scripts for a variety of functions.
- Previous experience successfully leading development teams
Travel: May require occasional travel throughout the continental U.S.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
