Job Description:
Seeking an Air Force Data Analyst to support the Operational Energy office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force. In this role, you will assist the Air
Force Operational Energy Office with data analysis on a broad range of issues associated with Air Force Operations and future technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis on potential and existing aviation fuel efficiency initiatives
- Develop and assess aviation energy metrics to develop opportunities for energy savings measures
- Capture requisite data for aviation metrics and perform analysis to determine best course of action for aviation energy efficiencies
- Provide support for data processing and modeling, including automating periodic operational energy data updates
- Analyze available datasets and synthesize results for decision support
- Develop statistical models and tools to advance understanding of opportunities, costs, and benefits in operational energy
- Provide subject-matter expertise in data process design, decision support tools, and modeling and simulation
- Assist with developing briefs, communication materials, and other products that guide investment and operational decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a BA degree and 3+ years data analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data analysis, including data preparation and modeling, with expertise in statistical approaches, operational analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of software tools, including python, cloud-based analytics platforms such as Databricks and related data structures (e.g. Delta Lakehouse), business intelligence tools such as Tableau, and additional visualization tools such as Qlik.
- General experience with data reporting, dashboard design, and other situational awareness tools.
- Experience with decision support and communicating results that inform data-driven decisions in military operation
Pay Range:
Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
